Prostate Cancer Education Council Spokesman General Colin Powell

General Colin Powell has been named the Prostate Cancer Education Council Spokesman. General Powell underwent surgery for prostate cancer in 2003, and made a full recovery. As a Spokesman for PCEC he continues to help educate men on prostate cancer and the importance of early detection. Click here to learn more about General Powell's involvement.

The Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) encourages families to give the men in their lives the gift of life by scheduling a screening for prostate cancer and to gather information on new diagnostic tools to detect prostate cancer. Click here to learn more.

  • More than 230,000 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed this year.
  • One out of every six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
  • More than 30,000 men will die from prostate cancer this year.
