Minneapolis PACE Race Completes Second Leg of 2004 PACE Race Series

Around 200 participants turn out to support the cause

(MINNEAPOLIS, MN) - The 2004 PACE Race Series continued on Saturday in Minneapolis, MN as around 200 participants ran and walked in the first ever Minneapolis PACE Race.

Great running weather provided a great view of scenic Lake Nakomis as runners of all experience levels participated to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer.

"We're very pleased with the support from this year's race," said Mary Anderson, Minneapolis PACE Race Director. "We expect the numbers to double or triple for next year as we strive to help in the battle against prostate cancer."

"The Minneapolis race was extremely well run and was very representative of the series as a whole," said Mandy Deas, PACE Race Executive Director. "We look forward to building on this success for next year and will now turn our attention to Seattle and Sacramento and our races there on Sunday."

The PACE Race series kicked off June 20 in Pittsburgh, PA and ends November 20 in Tampa, FL and Atlanta, GA.
