Fourth Annual Shamrock’n Half Marathon and 5 km

(Sacramento, CA) - With a little luck, the Fourth Annual Shamrock’n Half Marathon and 5 km on Sunday, March 16 will raise prostate cancer awareness in the Sacramento community. More than 4,700 runners and walkers are expected for the race, which will begin at Raley Field in West Sacramento. This year’s half marathon will be the largest ever 13.1-mile race ever held in the Sacramento area. This event is part of the national PACE Race series which aims to increase awareness and early detection of prostate cancer and to educate men and their families on treatment options and other men’s health issues.

HALLOWEEN HUSTLE RACE SAVES LIVES THIS YEAR

For the first time ever, the popular Halloween Hustle Race and the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) are partnering to offer men ages 40 and over the chance to compete and give back. The PCEC, presented by Sanofi-Aventis, will co-sponsor the PACE Master’s series to be held during the run/walk, beginning at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31.

(San Francisco . October 26, 2007) For the first time ever, the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) is partnering with the Golden Gate City’s U.S. Half Marathon to offer men ages 40 and over the chance to compete and give back. The PCEC, presented by Sanofi-Aventis, will co-sponsor the PACE Master’s series to be held during the run/walk, with the run across the Golden Gate Bridge beginning at 7:00 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 4.

Sept. 6, 2007) For the first time ever the popular Steve Rudolf Ramble 5K Race and the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) are partnering to offer men ages 40 and over the chance to compete and give back. The PCEC, presented by Sanofi-Aventis, will co-sponsor the PACE Master’s series race, in memory of a popular Colorado runner, to be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 16.

(DENVER, CO) - The 2006 PACE Race Series was held in a number of markets nationwide including Pittsburgh, PA; Jacksonville, FL; Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Louisville, KY; Denver, CO; Sacramento, CA; St. Louis, MO; Washington, D.C.; Kirkland, WA; Detroit, MI; Manchester, CT; and Atlanta, GA. PACE Race Partners with Pig Run to Raise Money to Fight Prostate Cancer

The 2005 Columbus PACE Race has partnered with the Finish Line world Famous Pig Run to help fight prostate cancer. On July 22 at 7 p.m., hundreds of people will run or walk the 5K, starting at High and Main and finishing near the Jazz and Ribs Fest stage. Proceeds from the 5K run/walk and the 1-mile family walk will be used to raise awareness and provide screenings to fight prostate cancer on a local and national level.

PACE Race Series Increases Awareness About Surviving Prostate Cancer

One in six men will have prostate cancer, however, if detected early enough, it is 100% survivable-making prostate cancer awareness and education critical. Communities across the country will be participating in the PACE Race Series-proceeds will be used to educate men and the women in their lives about prostate cancer and the importance of screenings.

The 2005 Sacramento PACE Race will be held on Saturday, August 28 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the State Capital. This year will also feature a one-mile family walk.

The 2005 St. Louis PACE Race will be held on Saturday, September 4 beginning at 8 a.m. in Earth City. This year will also feature a one-mile family walk.

The 2005 Minneapolis PACE Race will be held on Saturday, July 30 beginning at 8 a.m. on the north end of Lake Nokomis. This year will also feature a one-mile family walk.
